Today StoreTrust is live on the Shopify App Store. The same Trust Score engine that has scanned thousands of storefronts now runs where you already work: inside your Shopify Admin.
If you have used the free scanner on this site, the idea is familiar. You give us a store, we read it the way a first-time buyer does, and we hand back a score plus a ranked list of what is quietly costing you sales. The app does the same thing, with one difference that turns out to matter a lot: there is no URL to paste and no second tab to manage. You install it once, and your Trust Score is a click away every time you ship a change.
Why we built an app
The web scanner was built for a cold first look. You hear about StoreTrust, you paste your URL, you get a verdict. That is a great way to discover a problem. It is a clumsy way to fix one.
Fixing trust gaps is iterative. You add a real About page, you re-scan. You surface shipping cost before checkout, you re-scan. You move your payment badges next to the Add to Cart button, you re-scan. Doing that loop from a separate website means copying your URL back and forth and losing track of where you started. Doing it from inside Admin means your score is right there, next to the store you are editing, every time.
So we shipped the app for the people who are not just curious about their score but are actually working on it.
What it checks
The app scores 30+ trust signals across four categories:
- Legitimacy. About page, brand consistency, contact visibility, and the first-impression signals that tell a stranger you are a real business.
- Product clarity. Whether your product pages answer the questions a hesitant buyer asks before adding to cart.
- Social proof. Reviews, ratings, and the evidence that real customers buy here, read the way a skeptic reads it.
- Checkout trust. Payment methods, shipping clarity, and the cart-to-payment reassurance that decides whether a ready buyer follows through.
Every signal comes back scored pass, warning, or fail, with a specific fix and a place in the queue ordered by impact. You are not handed a wall of generic advice. You are handed the next thing to do.
Free to install, Pro to go deep
Installing the app and running a scan is free. You get your Shopify Trust Score and the top issues holding it back, which for most stores is enough to find the first afternoon of work.
Pro, at $1.99 a month, unlocks the rest: the full checklist with every signal scored, how-to-fix guidance pointing at the exact pages to change, and score monitoring so you find out the moment a theme update or a new app knocks a signal loose.
How to get it
Open the StoreTrust listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app. The first scan runs in under a minute. If you would rather check a store without installing anything, including a competitor's, the free web audit still runs on any public Shopify URL.
We would love your feedback, and if the app helps, a review on the listing genuinely moves the needle for a new app. Either way, thank you for trusting us with your store.
